My Gold Fish, Aquaria KLCC and shopping…(Part One)

My wife has been communicating with me daily either by phone or messenger. During one of those chatting session we have actually thought of going to Aquaria KLCC. We have been to similar places in Langkawi, Hong Kong and Singapore hence we look forward to its opening. This weekend my wife is around, she is now sleeping after 3 hours of exotic fish viewing and shopping.

Aquaria KLCC was actually schedule to be open in the month of June but somehow due to unforeseen technical circumstance it was postponed until recently. I am not a fan of live fish. I did rare a dozen of gold fish during my teens. All of them perish in a space of less than few days. Why? I still do not know I guess its fate. I rare them when they are still an infant, when they are no bigger than my thumb. On the day they die, most of them are as big as my palm. It was sad seeing them floating with their tummy facing the sky. It was like losing a bunch of friends. I guess after this incident I no longer have the interest to rare any kind of fish as I still have the fear of waking up one day, seeing them floating belly up.

Anyway back to Aquaria KLCC, its opening has been delayed for a few months before it finally opens about a week or 2 ago. We reached KLCC at around 12.10 pm after eating our lunch which is the usual steam Cod fish (today with organic Tofu) and stir fry Choy sum with chicken. We walk through the tunnel which is located near Tower records. It was quite a distance. When we reached the end we saw a signage with the word Aquaria pointing to the left. We follow it and it leads us into an underground parking area.

The parking area itself was quite interesting as I could see that they actually design it with the pedestrian in mind. It is brightly lighted up and it has its usual yellow boxy line for the parking lots. What surprise me is that they have an additional yellow line in front of the parking lot for pedestrian. It stretches from one end to the other. As usual most of the pedestrian actually walks outside of it, another good design that goes to waste.

At the end of it was an automatic door opening up to a food court, another surprise. I think I have correctly read the signage so far. All the signage has Aquaria written on it. Looking farther up, I could see a man in uniform ushering visitors to another lane which has another board written Aquaria ticket counter. We follow the crowd and there is already a queue of around 20. I think the entrance is not very good in terms of Feng Shui. It is quite hidden, a "world class" attraction with a mediocore entrance.

To be continue......
